The Charity - HIT - Albert Roux Dinner

The dinner aims to raise funds for the Hospitality Industry Trust Scotland, as well as to support a number of student initiatives at QMU in connection with social enterprise projects, volunteering and third sector work, and for student bursaries in the School of Arts, Social Sciences and Management.

HIT Scotland is a Scottish based charity which raises funds to support & encourage excellence in the hospitality Industry. Their mission is “to assist people to achieve their potential within Scottish hospitality” and our students at QMU have benefitted from this on many occasions over the years.
 |
For the last 16 years HIT Scotland has helped those training to enter the industry and those already within, to realise their full potential. This is achieved through practical support; including bursary scholarships, Emerging Talent scholarships, industry events and the Emerging Talent conference. |
Over the course of the next two years the hospitality team at QMU plans to support HIT in a number of ways to raise as much money as possible for the charity. The proceeds from the dinner and the auction will start this off, but the team plan to hold other events over the course of the next 2 years, some food oriented, others sport oriented including a 1000 mile around Scotland run and cycle ride in 2013. Your generous support for this dinner will help us tremendously as we strive to raise £100,000 for the good causes mentioned above. More details on the other events will be released in due course.
