Master of Public Administration (MPA)

MPA image

Thank you for your interest in our MPA.

We have been supporting public service organisations at QMU for ten years now. Over that time we have supported over 100 students and many public and Third Sector employers to meet the ongoing challenges and uncertainties surrounding public service delivery.

Our Master of Public Administration is the only MPA in Scotland. The timetable is arranged to enable participants to complete the programme over one day per week (on a part-time basis). The course can be completed in one year on a full-time basis.

We provide the opportunity to gain insights from international examples of public administration and to critically discuss future developments with fellow learners, academics and experienced guest speakers. Modules include International Trends in Public Administration, Leading Change in Public Services and Workplace Learning (which is delivered in collaboration with ACOSVO).

There are competitive rates available for public sector employers who sponsor students on the programme.

Please get in touch if you would like more information via MPA@qmu.ac.uk or take part in our Postgraduate Virtual Open Evening on Wednesday, 26 April. You will be able to chat to the Programme Leader to find out more about the MPA.
